Penguins?

rob and daughterI’ve always loved penguins. I relate to them. You see, I’m not the most dapper-looking dude. I’m kind of a dork. And penguins are total dorks. They look funny. I look funny. They walk funny. I walk funny.

They swim fast. I walk funny.

So, I collect everything I can that’s a penguin. They make me smile.

If I’m at a zoo or aquarium that has penguins, it’s a fair bet that I will spend the day watching those little swimming bird missiles eat and crap.

This is an older photo (probably at least six or seven years old) of us hanging out with some penguins during a vacation back when Jazzy was still “Little” Jazzy. This picture was taken at the Flamingo resort in Las Vegas, back when the place still had penguins, which was totally kick ass.

Watching penguins with my kids makes for a heckuva great day. The only thing that would make a day better is if we could ride some roller coasters on the same day. With the penguins.

When we lived in Florida, the penguins at SeaWorld were the reason we had season passes to both Disney World and SeaWorld.

Love ‘em. It’s why when I speak at conferences, my Powerpoints always have penguins on them and my clothing will almost always have some sort of reference to these cool flightless birds.
